Dubai. Today MINI introduces the next generation of the MINI family with the electric MINI Cooper. The new three-door version of the MINI is available in two power levels and redefines the driving pleasure of electric vehicles of the future. With an agile and nimble engine, the electric MINI Cooper stands for futuristic zero-emissions mobility.

Originally launched in 2020, the MINI Cooper SE has seen sales increase by 25.5% in 2022 becoming the most popular MINI model with over 43,000 units of the zero-emission MINI sold worldwide last year. It should be noted that one out of five Mini cars on the road is now electric. MINI's continued success was reflected in the production anniversary of the one millionth MINI, the current fourth-generation three-door model, delivered entirely in Canada.

The feeling of driving an electric power kart with maximum torque right from the start.

In the new MINI family, torque is maximum from the start in the MINI Cooper E with 135 kW and the MINI Cooper SE with 160 kW. The car accelerates without any deceleration and without any delay when changing gears. The electric Mini Cooper is equipped with a high-voltage lithium-ion battery in its floor to ensure its stability on the road and an ideal weight distribution, which also enhances the car's innate agility. In this way, MINI redefines the feeling of driving go-karts offered by the brand, always contributing to the urban driving pleasure that MINI has been known for for more than 60 years.

MINI has always been able to benefit from the BMW Group's development expertise in order to achieve advanced driving dynamics in the new electric MINI Cooper. This car enjoys a very solid place in the brand's heritage, from the launch of the first generation, after restyling in 2002, with three doors, all the way to the fifth generation model. The continuous development in many areas such as technology, efficiency and energy delivery reflects the careful handling of this famous model, rooted in the heritage of the brand, which today once again raises the standards of driving pleasure.

Enhanced range with maximum flexibility

The battery capacity in the MINI Cooper E is 40.7 kWh, while the battery capacity in the MINI Cooper SE is 54.2 kWh. This gives the new models an expected range of between 300 and 400 km, thus significantly expanding the range of trips within and outside the city.

With the concept of space for which MINI is famous, the MINI Cooper Electric offers maximum flexibility. The interior design offers a wide range of usability, and the trunk can be expanded to accommodate four seats.

In addition to the MINI Countryman, which will be produced at the BMW Group plant in Leipzig in November 2023, the MINI Cooper Electric is ready to go, heralding an all-electric future for MINI. From 2024, the MINI Aceman will join this electric trend.
